Crafty Paint Colors

KATIE'S PICKS:
Picking out paint colors is such an arduous task.  We went through repainting our entire house over the past year and finding the perfect color that worked with our style, furnishings, lighting and house was so tough! Thought we’d share them with you and maybe it will help you all when picking out your own colors. Also, I'm a big fan of no sheen paint... call me crazy. We used flat paint for all the walls and ceilings. For all the trim work, we used satin. Satin finish is one step above flat finish and it has a minimal sheen and cleans up nicely.
All are Benjamin Moore colors and you can color match it at Home Depot, etc.

Trim Color, White Dove.
We used a satin finish on all the trim.

Looking for that perfect tan? Look no further! These tans rock the house!

The main areas of our house are done in Manchester Tan. I used 50% Manchester Tan in the hallway and our master bath. This is when they mix only 50% of the pigment so that you get a lighter version. Great for areas that need more light and less color but you still want to use your color palate.
We used Bleeker Beige in 2 bedrooms.
We used Manchester tan in our dining room and Graytint on the ceiling. It adds just a hint of color and although it borders on cool, it works great with our warm palate.

Santorini Blue is our kitchen and laundry room color and we LOVE it.

Catalina Blue was used in our mater bedroom. It’s such a great seaside beach color!

If you need less warm and more cool tans, we tried these and they are great!

What are your favorites and tried and true colors? Have you tried any of these?

AMY'S PICKS:
Being a builder’s wife, I have been through some serious paint in my time!  I have painted every kind of TAN you can think of on walls, ceilings, trim, etc.  Some were great, some were super gross.   So, sharing my favorite colors with you is a must.
One thing you must know about paint – paint looks DIFFERENT in every room.  If you paint TAN in the kitchen with lots of windows, and you paint that same TAN in a room with one window, they will look different.   Solution: Buy a quart of the paint you like, paint a small amount on the wall. Then you will be able to make a better decision on the color to chose.
MY FAVORITE COLORS: (insider secret ~ You can chose ANY color, from ANY brand, and have the paint store color match/mix it for you!)
BENJAMIN MOORE:

This is a great tan, goes with everything!  White Dove for trim goes great with this wall tan.

This is a good creamy, not too gold, not too lemon, YELLOW (Yes, it is yellow!).
